Eli is the co-founder and managing partner of Arora Zbar LLP. Eli heads the firm’s solicitor practice. He arranges and facilitates a wide array of real estate, business, and financial transactions. Eli advises entrepreneurs and businesses regarding contracts, corporate governance, and risk management. In addition, Eli represents clients in strata and residential tenancy disputes.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Eli majored in philosophy at the University of British Columbia. Eli attended Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law, graduating as the Class of 2017 Valedictorian. After articling at a civil litigation firm in downtown Vancouver, Eli started his own sole practice the day after being called to the bar.
Eli and his wife live in Kitsilano. He enjoys baking, cycling, yoga, and travelling. Eli is a licensed drone pilot, and an aspiring wine expert.
Ravneet is a co-founder and partner of Arora Zbar LLP, he heads the firm’s dispute resolution practice. Ravneet has represented clients before all levels of court in British Columbia, being the Provincial, Supreme, and Court of Appeal. In addition, Ravneet has represented clients before administrative tribunals, such as the British Columbia Securities Commission and Financial Institutions Commission.
Ravneet attended Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law and Kwantlen Polytechnic University Faculty of Arts. Prior to forming Arora Zbar LLP, Ravneet practiced commercial litigation at boutique firms and as a sole practitioner.
Ravneet is trilingual as he is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.
Originally from Brazil, Deborah earned her Law degree in 2018. After that, she obtained a certificate in Business Management and went on to study criminology at KPU. With years of experience in the legal and administrative field, Deborah has taken on more and more in the year she has worked with Arora Zbar LLP. She is passionate about Law and learning; her commitment to always putting her best foot forward has taken her on a journey to learn tasks in Litigation, Conveyancing, and Corporate Law. Deborah speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
On her free time, Deborah enjoys reading, baking, watching Netflix and anything that is not Law related.

Meet Ravena, the welcoming face of our law firm.
When you call our main office line, she's the one who will do her best to assist you. Ravena values effective communication, and ensuring your needs are met. Her role doesn't stop at the front desk. Behind the scenes, she plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our office, from organizing and opening files to ensuring everything runs efficiently.
With her attention to detail, organizational skills, and love of good times, Ravena brings a perfect balance to our office. In her free time, Ravena enjoys spending time with her friends, learning new things, and she's always ready to meet new people and engage in meaningful conversations.
Veena joined the firm in 2021 as an administrative assistant and social coordinator. She works with both the solicitor and litigation lawyers, utilizing her exceptional attention to detail to provide support and assistance. Veena enjoys coordinating the firm’s social activities that foster positive work culture and team building.
Veena was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and attended both SFU and UBC. Outside of the office, she is a registered nurse and a graduate student. Veena lives in Kitsilano with her husband, Eli. She is a foodie who enjoys traveling, yoga, and swimming.
Dorfam received her Juris Doctor from University of Windsor. During her time at law school, she volunteered with Community Legal Aid and Law Students’ Legal Advice Program where she helped clients with criminal, employment, disability, and landlord-tenant issues.
Prior to joining Arora Zbar LLP, she articled at a business law firm in Vancouver where she gained exposure primarily in the areas of corporate and securities law with respect to mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, debt and equity offerings, regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance, and strategic investments. She assisted senior lawyers with representing public and private companies and registered securities dealers with a particular focus on mining.
Dorfam has experience representing clients before Landlord Tenant Board and Civil Resolution Tribunal. Her practice is primarily focused on contract drafting and negotiation, corporate reorganizations, real estate, business, and financial transactions. She can assist clients in English and Farsi.
When not in the office, she loves playing tennis, hiking the local trails, and road biking. Dorfam is very passionate about design and fashion and has recently started a family business for sustainable accessories.

The practice and business of law is challenging. Many of the most difficult parts are outside of our control – like navigating an overburdened court system, dealing with emotionally charged clients, and managing tight deadlines.
Arora Zbar LLP strives to make the things within our control, work better for the people at the firm. You will not hear the phrase “well, that’s just the way things are done around here” at this firm. If there’s a better way to do something, and a good reason to do it that way, there’s a really good chance we will do that thing that way. You just have to let us know what, and why.
We like to have fun as a team, which includes monthly happy hours that start at 4pm, so they do not overlap your personal time. If you want to stay past 5 to hang out, you’re welcome to! We host fun holiday parties and other team building events.
We also like people to have the time, energy, and resources to have fun outside of work. You are expected to be available during business hours, and sometimes outside of business hours with advance notice. You should not expect to be bothered on vacation, weekends, or evenings, unless it is truly urgent. That said – sometimes lawyers work at odd hours, and it’s up to you to turn off your notifications when you don’t want to be bothered.
We welcome feedback from team members. You can expect to meet with the 2 partners at least every quarter to give them feedback, and review any concerns you have about the work environment and processes. You can expect to set goals for your learning and professional development, which we will help you work towards.
We use technology to make our lives easier and our work better. Here is an overview of the technology you can expect to use, see, and interact with. We have a full time tech support provider to answer your questions.
Workspace: We worked in a shared workspace where each person has a dedicated, but shared desk. As most staff work hybrid, you can expect to share your space with 1 other person. Depending on the number of staff in the office, you may be working in a room alone or with 1-2 other people in that room.
Ergonomic desks: Ergonomic desks are desks that can be adjusted in height and position to suit the user’s comfort and posture. We use ergonomic desks to work in a sit-stand mode and to avoid health problems related to sitting for long periods.
Parking and access: The office has four parking spaces downstairs and visitor parking as well. There is an elevator.
Washrooms: The washrooms are shared with other offices on the same floor. There are shared gendered bathrooms and a private accessible one.
Kitchen area and snacks: The office has a cozy kitchen area with a coffee machine, a water fountain, a microwave, and some cutlery. Snacks are available in the kitchen and are replenished by the firm. We take requests for new snacks.
Printers and scanners: We have a high powered printer that can hole punch. We use a scansnap, it scans 2 sides at the same time and saves it digitally.
