Arora Zbar LLP is a law firm operated with a start-up mentality. To us, the start-up mentality means finding better or new ways of doing things. Specifically, that translates into two things: agile development of new systems and processes; and finding and fixing pain points.
We apply agile development methodology, meaning we implement new technology which may not work perfectly right away, with the confidence in our ability to adapt and address issues as they arise. For example, we manage the firm using Asana, a project management tool designed primarily for software development, which we customized for our practice. The customization is ongoing, but already Asana facilitates team collaboration by allowing team members to always be up to speed on client matters ensuring a seamless client experience.
We find and fix pain points. For instance, we noticed that clients, real estate agents, and mortgage brokers lacked easy access to the closing costs associated with a home purchase. So we designed and built www.pricemyconveyance.com, a residential real estate closing cost calculator. Using www.pricemyconveyance.com, real estate professionals can now give their clients a more accurate estimate of the total cost of their new home.
Similar to giving closing costs estimates to clients and real estate professionals, we will always keep asking ourselves if we’re doing things the best way that we can, in everything that we do. If we’re not, we’ll figure out a new or better way of doing it. To us, that describes a startup.
