Eli Zbar
Eli is a co-founder and managing partner of Arora Zbar LLP. Eli heads the firm’s solicitor practice, including a wide array of real estate and corporate transactions. Eli advises entrepreneurs and businesses regarding contracts, financing, real estate development, corporate governance, and risk management.
Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Eli majored in philosophy at the University of British Columbia. Eli attended Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law, graduating as Class of 2017 Valedictorian. Eli started his own sole practice the day after he completed his articling at a firm in downtown Vancouver, and was called to the bar in 2019.
Eli and his wife live in Kitsilano with their rambanceuous and adorable daughter, Aviva. Eli is a licensed drone pilot and and asprising wine expert with a Level 1 Award from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

Ravneet Arora
Ravneet is a co-founder and partner of Arora Zbar LLP, he heads the firm’s dispute resolution practice. Ravneet has represented clients before all levels of court in British Columbia, being the Provincial, Supreme, and Court of Appeal. In addition, Ravneet has represented clients before administrative tribunals, such as the British Columbia Securities Commission and Financial Institutions Commission.
Ravneet attended Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law and Kwantlen Polytechnic University Faculty of Arts. Prior to forming Arora Zbar LLP, Ravneet practiced commercial litigation at boutique firms and as a sole practitioner.
Ravneet is trilingual as he is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

Raminder Arora
Raminder is a civil litigator with a focus on corporate commercial litigation, contractual disputes, alternative dispute resolution, tort liability matters including professional negligence, franchisor-franchisee disputes, and construction disputes.
Prior to joining Arora Zbar LLP, Raminder worked at national and international firms where he assisted senior lawyers provide practical and effective legal advice to a wide range of clients including large institutions, branches of provincial government, small business, and individuals. As associate counsel with Arora Zbar LLP, Raminder puts the skills acquired at top-tier law firms to help provide effective legal solutions and strategies to business and individuals alike. Raminder has experience representing clients at all levels of courts in British Columbia.
Outside of the office, Raminder enjoys outdoor activities including walking, hiking, biking as much as he enjoys reading books. In addition to English, Raminder can fluently speak and write two other languages – Punjabi and Hindi. -
Ed Lewin (Retired)
Ed formed Edward M. Lewin Law Corporation in 1993 and ran a sole practitioner general business law practice for almost 30 years out of the premises currently occupied by Arora Zbar. Ed transferred his practice to Arora Zbar at the end of 2022, and recently retired from the practice of law. He is very active in the non-profit world, currently serving on the boards of two societies, one as President, and as honorary legal counsel to a third.
Ed enjoys spending time with his wife of 42 years, his children and grandchildren. A former varsity basketball player (UBC Thunderbirds) Ed remains an avid basketball and sports fan. Although now retired, Ed continues to be a valued advisor to the firm. -
Dorfam Kheiri
Dorfam received her Juris Doctor from University of Windsor. During her time at law school, she volunteered with Community Legal Aid and Law Students’ Legal Advice Program where she helped clients with criminal, employment, disability, and landlord-tenant issues.
Prior to joining Arora Zbar LLP, she articled at a business law firm in Vancouver where she gained exposure primarily in the areas of corporate and securities law with respect to mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions, debt and equity offerings, regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance, and strategic investments. She assisted senior lawyers with representing public and private companies and registered securities dealers with a particular focus on mining.
Dorfam has experience representing clients before Landlord Tenant Board and Civil Resolution Tribunal. Her practice is primarily focused on contract drafting and negotiation, corporate reorganizations, real estate, business, and financial transactions. She can assist clients in English and Farsi.
When not in the office, she loves playing tennis, hiking the local trails, and road biking. Dorfam is very passionate about design and fashion and has recently started a family business for sustainable accessories.

Naz Khodarahmi
Naz is a wills and estates, real estate, and corporate solicitor. Naz received her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, and was called to the bar in 2020.
Prior to joining Arora Zbar LLP, Naz practiced in both sole and firm-based settings, allowing her to develop a well-rounded estate planning and trusts practice. Naz’s practice is focused on estate planning, probate and estate administration, and trusts, with an emphasis on providing thoughtful, tailored advice. She works closely with clients to understand their personal, family, and financial circumstances, and uses that understanding to design estate plans that are practical, clear, and responsive to each client’s goals.
In addition to her estate planning practice, Naz brings experience in real estate, corporate, and family law matters. This broader background allows her to take a holistic view of her clients’ legal needs and to anticipate how her client’s estate planning, real estate and business decisions may intersect with one another. Naz serves on the Board of the Vancouver Bar Association, the Board of the Stanley Park Ecology Society, and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver. Naz is additionally in the process of obtaining her STEP Canada Diploma in Trusts and Estates. -
Vinay Verma
Vinay Verma is an experienced civil litigator whose practice focuses on civil and commercial disputes, including contract disputes, real estate litigation, shareholder and partnership conflicts, builders liens, and foreclosure. He joined Arora Zbar LLP in 2026 as associate counsel.
Called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018, Vinay has a strong track record and a reputation for zealous advocacy. His substantial courtroom experience includes appearances before all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal. His clients appreciate his approachable nature and commitment to keeping them fully informed at every stage of their matter.
Vinay obtained his law degree from Thompson Rivers University after completing an undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of British Columbia. Born and raised in Surrey, he has deep roots in the Lower Mainland community and brings a genuine understanding of the people and businesses he serves.
Vinay is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi.

Deborah Caldeira
Originally from Brazil, Deborah earned her Law degree in 2018. After that, she obtained a certificate in Business Management and went on to study criminology at KPU. With years of experience in the legal and administrative field, Deborah has taken on more and more in the year she has worked with Arora Zbar LLP. She is passionate about Law and learning; her commitment to always putting her best foot forward has taken her on a journey to learn tasks in Litigation, Conveyancing, and Corporate Law. Deborah speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
On her free time, Deborah enjoys reading, baking, watching Netflix and anything that is not Law related.

Devi Kaila
Devi is a seasoned paralegal who joined Arora Zbar LLP in 2024. She began her legal career after completing her Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate at Douglas College in 1996. She initially worked as a legal administrative assistant in civil litigation, specifically plaintiff personal injury.
After completing her paralegal studies in 2001, Devi transitioned to a paralegal role, supporting both junior and highly experienced lawyers. Throughout her career, Devi has been involved in highly complex litigation including personal injury (plaintiff and defendant), wrongful death, estate disputes, family law, as well as unique work for the Department of Justice and the Public Guardian and Trustee of British Columbia.
Devi maintains a pleasant and professional dialogue with clients and opposing firms and is best known for her positive, approachable, and encouraging disposition. She speaks Punjabi and understands basic Hindi as well.
Outside of her paralegal career, Devi enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, travelling, walking, yoga, and working out. -
Ravena Kubiaki
(First Name Pronounced: Ha - veh - nah)
Ravena provides essential support to our litigation team, ensuring that every matter is managed with precision and efficiency. As a Litigation Assistant, she is responsible for coordinating court filings and service, monitoring limitation periods, and maintaining accurate schedules for hearings, deadlines, and client meetings. Her role also includes drafting and proofreading legal correspondence and court documents, as well as communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff to ensure the seamless progression of cases.
With her attention to detail, organizational skills, and love of good times, Ravena brings a perfect balance to our office. In her free time, Ravena enjoys spending time with her friends, learning new things, and she's always ready to meet new people and engage in meaningful conversations.
